About the Voice Instructors
Maria Palombo holds a Master of Music and Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy from New York University. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill graduating with degrees in Music and Drama and a minor in Speech & Hearing Science. She has performed at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, the National Opera Center (NYC), the Kimmel Center (Philadelphia, PA), McCarter Theatre (Princeton, NJ) Memorial Auditorium (Raleigh, NC), the Durham Performing Arts Center (Durham, NC) and in Arezzo and Maiori, Italy.
Her favorite opera and musical theater credits include: Gianni Schicchi (Lauretta), La clemenza di Tito (Servilia), the title roles in Cendrillon and Kiss Me, Kate, and Monica in The Medium. Maria served as the soprano section leader at Nassau Presbyterian Church in Princeton, NJ for 5 years and sings as an active member of the Philadelphia Symphonic Choir, the official choir of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Maria teaches voice lessons for all skill levels and has helped countless students in New Jersey and Pennsylvania learn to sing. She teaches vocal technique one day each week at Hopewell Valley Central High School in Hopewell, NJ. Currently, her private voice studio includes many future collegiate music majors, children, actors looking to improve their singing, and a few folks in their golden years who are seeking a creative outlet. Her love of teaching singing and pedagogical methods stem from her own wonderful teachers. She recognizes the importance of having an informed and innovative teacher and strives to make each lesson enlightening and fun. Maria is a proud member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and The Voice Foundation, as well as the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA). |

Isha Narayanan is a NYC based actor, singer and educator holding a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Isha majored in Drama, studying Musical Theatre in the New Studio on Broadway. She also holds a minor in Mathematics. She grew up in India learning Indian Classical Singing in the form of Carnatic Music. She has performed in locations such as 54 Below (New York, NY), Skirball Center (New York, NY), The Barclays Center (Brooklyn, New York) as well as working on camera in several music videos in New York City.
Isha has a passion for working on new musicals most recently working on Spotlight: The Musical (Sofia/Clarice) and Sati: Goddess Incarnate (Mrs. Narayan). Her other favourite credits include: Six Degrees of Separation (Detective), Tisch New Theatre’s Offstage (Herself) and countless performances, music videos and song releases done with her a capella group NY Masti.
Isha has been teaching voice lessons since her junior year of college. She has taught younger students who are learning more about their voices, older students auditioning for shows or performing arts programs and even some adults who want to be creative. As a former student of Finely Tuned Voice Lessons, she knows how valuable a great teacher can be. Isha grounds her teaching approach in technique and joy. In her free time, Isha loves singing at her piano, reading, spending time with family and watching comfort movies. She is a proud member of Actor's Equity Association.
