his year, I'm launching a new project called Friday Covers! "What's that?," you ask? Each Friday I'll be releasing a video of me singing a cover of a requested song! The first one was Lady Gaga's A Million Reasons, and the second was I Could Have Danced All Night from My Fair Lady. Both were fun to sing and challenging in their own ways. It's always so interesting to see what my students, their parents, friends, etc. ask me to sing. Some requests come out of left field, while some are timeless classics. If you're interested in leaving a request please comment on this post below, or leave a post on Facebook or Instagram! This week's is going to be pretty fun(ny). I can't wait to share this one with you!!! Here's a hint: "A small sea animal with big teeth." Think you know?!? You'll have to wait for Friday to find out if you're right! ;) Visit our YouTube channel for the weekly post!

Happy 2019!
We hope this year brings you good health, lots of laughter, and time to sing your heart out! At the start of each year, we make goals for both teaching and singing. We ask our students at the beginning of their study with us about their own goals for their voice. We tend to hear some of the same things: breath, increased range, ability to sing runs, a sustainable belt, etc. When they've been with us for a couple of months, we check in with those goals to see if any have shifted. It gives us a great source of pride when those goals have shifted, meaning they have accomplished their original goals and want to keep going to further develop their voice. Goals set by one of our high school singers:
We are looking forward to helping that singer with those goals! This singer has been studying with us for several months and we feel confident that these goals are realistic. Alright, it's time to keep us accountable. We're putting down our own singing goals for 2019.
We hope you have goals of your own! Remember...goals should be achieveable and realistic. Why not go ahead and comment on this post with your own goals? We can help you! Let us take your voice to new heights this year! Happy singing :) |
