Pop quiz! What Broadway show is this blog title from? (don't look it up...no cheating! I've included the answer at the bottom of this post!)
This month, I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Music City aka Nashville, TN. I have always wanted to visit and I'm so glad I finally made it. My time spent there was full of amazing adventures (like goat yoga!), but I also spent a lot of time listening to live music. Being in that city was so special...as they say, "everybody plays and everybody sings." It is so true! Even when I went to karaoke the people off of the streets who signed up to sing were incredible! Nashville was so inspiring to me as a singer/teacher because everyone there is trying to "make it." This really got me thinking about my own idea of "making it" and I wanted to take some time to thank all of my students for helping me "make it" as a teaching artist. I love teaching as much (if not more, some days) as performing. Y'all inspire me and push me to be the best teacher I can be. This year alone Finely Tuned Voice Lessons has made 20 new singers a part of the studio family...and counting every day! Thank you for pursuing lessons, for coming ready to work, for your practice during the week, for getting the word out about lessons, and for making each lesson so much fun! I really have the best job in the whole world, and it's because of YOU! :) Y'all make me feel joy like this every day...you're the G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time)! Answer: Carousel (the revival is currently running on Broadway!!)
